1040 Estimate Vouchers

I understand the delay in releasing forms related to the most recent extenders that were past earlier this week but for the life of me I cannot understand why the 2018 vouchers are not yet out. My tax software, Ultra-tax, is printing 2017 vouchers and we had a few go out without realizing it. UGH!

I figured I could at least go to the IRS website and print them out but they are not even updated there! I understand that other programs show the 2018 date but are saying they are draft versions that are not yet approved.

For Ultra-tax I read about a work-around from the Ultra-tax chat room. Go into the set-up and change it to print scanable vouchers and for some reason this works.

Oh well, so much for paying more for better software!

It wouldn't be so bad if the software did not print anything but to print the wrong date on the form is just wrong. We do a great job double checking all our work but it never occurred to me to check the year printed on the voucher!
