I'm shopping around for a course, any recommendations?

I've taken Surgent, The Tax Book, and My Tax Courses Online in the past. My email has a course from CCH CPELink.

Any thoughts or other ideas! Thanks

I use NATP's since it's free.

Interesting side note, never got to where IRS would allow me to complete it this year. I don't know if one of the CPE's failed to report or what. And who you gonna call? lol

I've been using Gleim. Reasonably priced. This year I'm going to attend a live seminar so I can ask questions. There are too many incomplete and nebulous changes to absorb in a self-study.

Won't the next one be based on 17 law? That's usually how they do it....sure hope so.

2017 law? That would be a waste of time.

The emails that I have been receiving say the new laws would be covered

I will wait until Thanksgiving this year because of the tax law changes. I don't think these companies have any updated information so early?

MasterCPE has a very nice self-study series on this, but last I looked only 2017 was covered. They're my go-to for self-study, and GlobalCPE for self-study and live seminar.

Take a look at cpaacademy.org. Listen to a 1 hour webinar, answer 4 mostly survey type questions, complete an online course evaluation, receive 1 hour of CE credit; all at no charge.

Been in your shoes. Tried quite a few. Settled on WebCe. https://www.webce.com/ Easy to use and inexpensive. Prior to WebCe we used Surgent for the past few years. But we had issues with Surgent not posting some courses to IRS during those years.
