Good afternoon all,

I am a sole prop. which means, I talk to myself ... alot.

There are days when I just need outside input from a more seasoned tax person. Anyone know how to find someone who I can engage with on things that come up? Of course, it would be a paid engagement.

Just start speaking to other CPAs/EAs/tax attorneys in your area. Most of us are open to forming relationships with other professionals for this very reason, and sometimes the relationships are such that you don't bill each other for the time as long as the benefit is roughly equal to both parties. If it tends to be one-sided in your favor, yes, expect to be billed.

Heck, even this forum may be a resource in finding another, more experienced tax pro.

You are Texas. If you are a member of the state society, this would be a good place to start those relationships with other CPAs. Good luck.

If not this forum, there are also some good Facebook groups that I use for this purpose.
