On similar but slightly different topic, I was in a client's QBO yesterday and found that if you click on the sales tax link on an invoice, it brings up a secondary screen that shows what the tax rate should be based on the shipping address, vs. what was actually charged. Has anyone looked into this more with QBO to know if they added functionality to determine tax amount based on shipping address? QBO has two methods of charging sales tax--flat and auto. This was found while under the auto setting.

"QuickBooks Sales Tax considers the location of the sale, the product type, the customer, the date of the sale, and whether or not the company has nexus to determine the correct sales tax rate. The state, city, and county are all considered in achieving the accurate rate."

And to think that a year ago, some here were skeptical of automated solutions. And no, I don't expect any of them have changed their minds since then.
