We are an employer with more than 50 employees and are not self insured. Are we supposed to issue a 1095-B or a 1095-C? I understand that this is optional for the 2014 tax year and mandatory next year (2015 tax year with 1095 issued in January of 2016), but would still like to know which one we should be filing.

B and C are optional for 2014.

As Frankly stated they are optional and I don't expect to see them this tax season. In MA we have something called a 1099-HC that serves a similar purpose. Thanks to Romneycare. I hear he wants to give it another try.
