I have never been able to get a consistent answer from ProSeries as to whether, when preparing business returns such as an 1120S,IRS elections are automatically E-Filed with the return if an election is made or whether each election has to be added as a PDF. Specifically, I am most concerned about whether the De Minimis expensing election 1.263[a]-1[f] has to be added as a PDF. I have had tech support people tell me it's automatically included in the E-File, if elected, and other tech support individuals tell me it has to be added as a PDF. Any ProSeries Professional users with advice on this would be much appreciated.

It would seem that any form, schedule, or election produced within the software and intended to be part of a tax return for filing would be included in the e-filing.

PDF attachments are for documents produced outside of the program, such as a broker statement alternative to 8949 transaction detail.
