FYI. Looks like Microsoft Exchange email servers were compromised earlier this year by a Chinese group. It seems the affected users were mostly small businesses. If your business runs a Microsoft exchange server and this is your first time hearing about this, you may want to reach out to your IT people.

I have my email hosted via GoDaddy's Outlook 365, and while they've issued a statement that their email system was not compromised. I'm still leaning toward switching to a more secure (and private) host later in the year.

I'd be interested in what your search for a more secure email host reveals. I've been thinking about the same and will spend some time after tax season evaluating some.

I am (and have been) considering Protonmail business.

Accessible through a web interface or mobile app. Two factor authentication. Custom domain and email signature. Emails within your domain (read: organization) are end-to-end encrypted in transmission and at-rest. Can send encrypted emails to those not using protonmail, but it requires that you supply the recipient with a password so that they can open the encrypted email. Self-destructing emails after recipient reads (timer of up to 30 days).

I like what I've seen so far. My only concern is their calendar app. I want to make sure it meets my needs and reliably sends notification reminders to my browser and my mobile as scheduled in advance of a meeting.
