Those two are a bit primitive....I like efiling automatically.

Patriot, with wholesale pricing, isn't bad. Less than QBOPR...but they, too, draw all the money a couple days prior to pay day. We've been so spoiled with iop....

Yeah, many of my clients are spoiled by this too, but a lot of the big full service payroll companies take it out right away as Patriot does. ADP, for example.

Yeah, just learned that Patriot pulls early, too.....they're out. Looks like I'll be giving Intuit more money and raising fees to cover lost profit. Bastards.

Is tax timing such a dealbreaker? Income tax and FICA comprise most of it, so you are basically accelerating payment by about a month for clients on monthly schedule (and almost none for semi-weekly's).

It sure is at year end! I have several s corps where we backload all the Fed taxes via a bonus at year end. To pay those on Boxing Day instead of Jan. 15 is a big deal when it's many thousands of dollars.

Just an update on this. IOP is still working....but I got a "banner" when I logged in stating it's time to transition.

I went ahead pulled the trigger on the transition request.....which is supposed to be "seamless". We have all heard that before. I'll update later. I dreading to see what they do to my clients QBO files as they combine the data.

I was forced to migrate yesterday. Now I have payroll forms that I must approve and file, and I cannot find them on either site. I'm on hold now, 30 minute estimated wait time.

edit: First gal told me that I need to call back and choose a different number. I told her that I chose the number for payroll issues. She has no idea what is going on and I am back on hold.
