I'm curious how much your firm charges for a Form 5500-EZ?

We're at about $950 for the one we just finished (which we're not going to continue).

I have a referral source for them, who is a pension administrator/consultant, if you'd like his name. His fees are roughly the same, but he does MANY of them.

$950 for a 5500-EZ? Not the regular 5500?

If you don't mind me asking, why are you referring them out?

Because we only do one. I don't want my staff in a perpetual learning curve on a project every single year.
Additionally, we have no other relationship with this one particular client either.

That's understandable.

I may have more exposure. As in clients that have Solo 401(k)s, not necessary those who meet the 5500-EZ filing threshold quite yet.

I was considering $500, but thought that might be too high. c'est la vie...de comptables
