Hi All,

I am re-designing my website. My question is should I use the bookkeeping services or accounting services. I feel that I can charge more for accounting services then bookkeeping services. I would like to hear from other's what they think.

Thanks

Ron

I see you are an EA, but not CPA. In Texas, you cannot use the term "accounting services" without being a licensed CPA.
So you would have to use "bookkeeping services". California may have the same rule.

You cannot call yourself an accountant without being a CPA but you can call a services "accounting" without being a CPA in California

This is why I deliberated so long on my firm name. For CPA, if you physically work in multiple states, and you call yourself a CPA, you have to pay the CPA fee there (more money). So your firm name can’t be X, CPA because you maybe physically doing taxes in the state where you didn’t pay CPA fee. You have to read the state rules about how you hold yourself out.
