we are changing from a june to december year end.

how do you change it in quickbooks to maintain integrity of acct data.

for example 12 months 6/22
6 months 12/22
12 months 12/23

after I change the fiscal year in quickbooks it gives me all reports on the calendar basis.

There must be a way to set it up without keep changing the fiscal year for reports,

Thanks

You could save your special report parameters as custom reports in the "memorized reports" list. At least then you don't have to keep updating the selection for each report except in unusual circumstances. This is for QBD.

But retained earnings won't be correct.

All the data is still there in the database file.
The only influenced item is retained earnings as sjr points out. Perform a reconciliation in your workpapers to the extent necessary for this item and move on.
I spent more time reading this than I would spend thinking out this change, if it were me.
