Self Study Tax Update CPE for CPA??

Any recommendations for self study tax update CPE for CPA's? Not looking for basics, but rather, a more advanced discussion of emerging issues.

For years, I have taken Spidell's Tax Update Self Study Course. For the most part, it has been pretty good. The materials were well written and provided useful, practical info. This year, not so much. For the price, I expected better.

The end result is that I am looking for a new self study update course. Any recommendations? Online or even on paper is fine. Not looking for webinars or live update classes.

We did a premium subscription to CCH CPELink. We got it at 50% off around Thanksgiving. Haven't used it yet but there is a lot of content.

I would also highly recommend https://www.compasstaxeducators.com. I am in his FB group and the instructors are top-notch.

The IRS uses checkpoint. But they have many internally developed training modules also. Plus, they audit 1-2 years behind actual tax year, so tax law usually developed by then.

I really like CCH CPE Link. 3rd year for us to use it and no problem finding classes.
