Does anyone have any recommendations on tax projection software? I don't need anything too robust, but I would like the option to add various scenarios and multi-state. I have experience with BNA Income Tax Planner which was clunky but I eventually got used to it. That is out of my price range.
I use ProSeries in the cloud hosted by RightNetworks for what it's worth.

My tax software, Drake, has a tax planner.

I use Drake as well, and it's pretty good for the kind of planning I do. It's not a perfect solution and leaves much to be desired, but it is the best compromise of price/features/usability that I've found.

My wish list would include the ability to automatically generate +/-% scenarios (in other words, if I estimate income at 100,000, have it automatically show +10% higher and -10% lower) and to have the software round numbers to a certain number of significant digits. (I feel like an estimate of "10,456" in tax gives the client a false sense of precision when what really mean is "between 9,000 and 12,000").

CFS Tax Tools has a decent tool for projections.
