I don't use professional tax software because I'm retired. Does it automatically pick up as medical deductions the Medicare premiums taken out of monthly Soc Sec payments?

Most automatically pick it up as a Sch A item, but there's usually some extra work to get it to come through as SEHI, if applicable.

Thanks. Turbotax doesn't. I almost overlooked the deduction.

Lacerte does it automatically, and provides a convenient box to check to have it treated as SEHI.
But, Lacerte does cost a wee bit more than TurdoTax does ;)

With Drake Software it goes automatically to Schedule A unless you click on the same screen that you want it to flow to self employment adjustment on front page of 1040 .
