New client sole shareholder/ee of 10 year old C corp. For years the C corp reimbursed all his family's med insurance and out of pocket med costs.

Are the sole shareholders who are also the sole employees of C corps exempt from the medical reimbursement limits of the 2016 law because they're exempt from ACA or some other reason or ?

And HIPAA doesn't require the corp to reimburse the shhldr/employee instead of paying the medical insurance premium or other medical cost directly to the insurance company or medical provider?

And no reporting requirements because "unfunded" plan?

Only documentation requirements would be corporate resolution describing and adopting the terms of the plan; and submittal of proof of medical cost to the C corp?
