Qualified Improvement Property - 2018 TCJA

Please let me know if I am wrong on this.

The TCJA has consolidated the 4 categories of "qualified" property into one - Qualified Improvement Property.

You can take Sec 179 on this, but unless there is a technical correction, then you are stuck with 39-year and no special depreciation. Is that correct?

If technical corrections make it through, perhaps as part of the extenders package, this specific change will most likely be included. As for when, I read Tax Analysts every day the same as everyone else.
