With the new federal filing date 7/15/2020, has anyone seen any definitive information on what states are following the federal due date?

In Ohio we have city income taxes. No sure whether all of those are on board with the filing and payment extension. I have one client that has rental property in City A but resides in City B. City A tax rate is 2%. City B is 2.5% but credits the 2% paid to City A. Math is easy, filling out tax return form is not.

Cities in Ohio are required to follow the state so they have to extend as well. I'm guessing some will bitch about it (remember how they complained when the state government made changes to make city filings less burdensome for businesses).

Yes - just read this:

Ohio and Ohio Municipalities Tax Filing Deadline
Governor DeWine signed House Bill 197 on March 27th which moved the State of Ohio and Ohio
Municipalities tax return filing deadline from April 15th to July 15th.

The filing extension applies to Ohio individual income tax, Ohio school district income tax and pass-
through entity tax.

Individuals, estates, trusts and certain businesses making quarterly estimates have also been
granted additional time to file and pay without penalty and interest. Both the first and second
quarterly payments are extended to July 15th.
