Are we allowed to use our EFIN as the ERO to efile our own Form 941?

If not, how do you efile your own Form 941? Please share your opinion.

Please note this question is strictly about our own Form 941, not the ones of your clients.

Thank you in advance.

I guess I don't understand the problem. I process mine thru the same processing I use for clients....there might be a box for self prepared, haven't looked...

I hear from a source which says an ERO is not supposed to use its EFIN to efile his own Form 941, not able to confirm it though,

Did anyone hear of that before or something along that line?

Perhaps I should just ask my fellow tax professionals here this question, how do you file your own Form 941? Do you put yourself as the paid preparer?

In our Accounting Software, our firm uses a 10-digit signature PIN assigned to our business, and we transmit the 941s for our business as the Business Taxpayer. We transmit our clients' 941s as the Reporting Agent.

I think this may be the distinction you are referring to.

I think it takes time to apply for the 10-digit signature PIN. The due date is on Friday though.

Would it be ok for us to pay a third party efiling company, such as tax1099.com, to e-file our own Form 941?

Why don't you mail a paper copy of the form 941?

I mail form 941's every quarter.

And I also have several clients who use Quickbooks for payroll and they print out the 941 and mail it.

I do too, but it's becoming a problem. The IRS isn't timely recording anything mailed to them.
