What are you experiencing with time frames for ERCs? Have clients waiting since November and it's holding up returns.

Filed an ERC in October. Client just got letter stating amount of refund. I'm guessing a few more weeks therefore 5 to 6 months. I did hear the turn around time can depend on size of refund. This was a modest refund.

Why is it holding up returns?

I don't see a need to wait. You will amend 2020 and 2021 of course.. but the balance sheet won't change.

You'll have an M-1 item basically for all year involved.

I did the tax returns for ALL of my corporations that expect to receive the ERC in 2023.
