My client is under 18 and has a business that is 100% online. People order through her online website. I read about MI sales tax and it seems to say that online businesses don't have to charge sales tax. Is that correct? Even if the customer also lives in MI? The sales tax website doesn't seem to have been updated. Sales tax is 6% state-wide and there's no county or city sales tax.

Are you referring to purchases made by you and me over the internet? I know they're taxable to the consumer if no sales tax has been charged.

Thanks. My client lives in MI so she would have to pay sales tax in MI for her MI sales.
