For those users of QB online... what difficulties should I look for when my client uses a Mac laptop and I use a pc? Will it affect how we use QB online? Will it get garbled because we are on two different kinds? (Probably a dumb questions... sorry!)

That is one area where QBO shines ... it won't matter what front-end client browser you use, as long as it is supported. (I imagine Intuit publishes a list of supported browsers and versions). And even using mobile device apps with QBO will not matter. With the desktop version, the platform it runs on can make a big difference.

QBO goes back and forth on which browser it gives trouble with. When I run into a problem I go to another browser. Not sure how many browsers there are on a mac (Safari?) but it should work the same.

Works fine in Safari. Intuit recommends Google Chrome, which you can get for Mac. As mentioned above, this is the strength of QBO. Anywhere access from any device (Macs, Tablets, Smartphones, etc.)
