Anybody out there besides us subscribe to QBD's "PAP Enterprise Software Bundle"? We just found out that they no longer include Enhanced Payroll for Accountants as part of this bundle. All of our payrolls stopped processing after our PAP renewal a few days ago.

I don't recall receiving notice about this change.

We were able to call support and get this reinstated but now we have to pay extra for this.

I assume this is just part of their strategic initiative to make life as miserable as possible for QBD users in order to justify the misery of using QBO.

Yes, I subscribe to it.

If you got the Enhanced Payroll for Accountants in past years, it is still available (at double last year's price!) but it is NOT available to new customers.

I'm taking this as a sign that I need to migrate elsewhere soon for payroll at least. I am hoping to have something picked out and tested by this time next year and be off Intuit for payroll entirely for 2025.

Yes. Thank you for confirming this is that way it is now.

That's what happened. We ended up paying $1,300 to renew PAP Enterprise and then another $1,300 to continue getting Enhanced Payroll.

I'll be moving everyone to Gusto. I'm tired of doing payroll and the fees. The fees have tripled since I became involved with PAP, again, in 2015.

I just checked my Intuit subscription and it says that I'm on PAP Premier Software Bundle. It inlcudes payroll. I also checked my emails from Intuit and found one from a couple of weeks ago informing everyone of increases to Legacy payroll programs. I'm hoping all of this is different from PAP Enterprise software Bundle. I'd like my subscription to work well for another couple of years without costing me a fortune. Any thoughts?

When does your subscription renew?

After your renewal, keep an eye out for a pop-up that says:

Payroll Service Alert
Please update your billing information.
Your QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for Accountants subscription expired on ....
Click Reactivate to update ...
With 3 buttons: Reactivate / Verify / Remind Later

This is how you will know that you no longer have the subscription. The buttons don't do anything. You will need to call and pay the man.

I just checked the Gusto website and their pricing. As for the pricing, it doesn't look like it would be any cheaper to use than QB, unfortunately. I have to sign up for a demo so I didn't check out that part based on the pricing. Looks like it would be $80 per month with an additional per employee charge and I'm not clear on how it would be used for multiple employers.

True, but it works so much better than QBO Payroll (the worst I've ever used).

If QBO Payroll was free, I'd still resist using it.

You are so right about QBO payroll being awful. I had a client use it a few years ago and it was always a huge mess. My subscription is through a QBD product.

100% accurate way of putting it. I have it included with my QBOA and I refuse to use it. I do my company's payroll via QBD and when that disappears, I'll move to Gusto but you still have less flexibility compared to QBD.

We have stopped receiving e-mails from "quickbooks_payroll_service@intuit.com" regarding accepted or rejected payroll tax payments. Is anybody else experiencing this?

Just wait a bit. Friday at 6:30, we got half a dozen of the acknowledgements we expected from the previous week. A few more trickled in this weekend. I think we're still not current with everything, but most have come in.

I'm having a ton of issues with QBD payroll. Cannot update bank account despite having access to do it, cannot send pay stubs via e-mail, etc. POS software is killing productivity.

The email slowdown is entirely fixed for us today - confirmations are coming in within minutes again. Your problems sound more like something that needs tech support involved. There's certainly no shortage of quirks!

I'm meeting with a Paychex rep tomorrow to see about moving my payroll over there. I wasn't really planning on moving that fast, but maybe they'll be a good fit.

I never had an interruption of payment confirmations. My issue has been in sending e-mails via QBD. I know QBD does not play well with VPNs, but I used to be able to just pause my VPN connection to send e-mails. Yesterday, to send the same e-mails I had to go into Task Manager and completely shut down the VPN.

I'm very annoyed with Intuit, right now.
