Having an issue with a couple of clients that use QB online. They download the transactions into quick books from their bank account. Some of the transactions are duplicated. We delete the duplicate transaction. When me go back into QB the duplicated transaction is back!

Anyone else have this problem? All suggestions are appreciated.

You'll have to exclude the duplicated transaction. That's in the Online Banking area, click the checkbox to the left of the item and then the Exclude option is up near the top of the transaction list.

Otherwise, as you say, deleting it will just put it back in Online Banking.

It's possible you have some Rules set up to auto-add these things. If you do, you'll have to turn off that rule for long enough to exclude the duplicate.

Yes davidlat, client had the same issue - actually still has it and it's been months. It turns out someone tried to hack his account. As I understand it something with the bank security has created this duplication. I have to go in and clean it up. Periodically he asks why something I didn't catch right away is in twice. Reconciling is a real pain. Thankfully, he is closing the business so he's just letting it go.

It also helps to accept each line as you review one at a time. The batch "accept" has strange behavior that I've noticed recently. Same with "exclude".....I started doing them one at a time.
