Checkpoint users, the "Tax & Accounting" daily email stopped

For years, we have been receiving a daily e-mail titled "Checkpoint Newstand" from 'TaxandAccounting@checkpoint.thomsonreuters.biz'

I preferred this e-mail over the other daily e-mails that Checkpoint would send. It did a better job of identifying tax news that was appropriate for our type of work. It also would include some accounting news and every so often a link to financial news from Forbes or other outlets.

That daily e-mail stopped on 1/15/2021. I inquired to the e-mail address above and received no reply.

I am assuming this free value-added service is gone. I wanted to check with others to see if you are still receiving that e-mail? (It's not in my Junk box)

That was my last day also. I used to subscribe but cancelled many years. Perhaps they decided that the email was a valuable product that should not be given away for free to long-term free riders like me.

I entered my shopping email to the sign up page, and a couple of days I began receiving the daily update to that email address. I have not yet been contacted by an RIA sales person. I also entered my regular email address, but the daily email did not restart.

Do you subscribe to RIA?

It sounds like their system blocked all existing subscribers to the email.

Yes. We pay for various subscriptions to RIA/PPC/Checkpoint.

I believe I saw a notice a while back that the daily e-mail blast was going to stop. I usually just get the weekly ones so it didn't affect me so I don't remember the details, but it rings a bell. Sorry I don't have stronger information.

That's odd. I'm still receiving it, though one of my email filters is sending it off to a different folder now. At the bottom, there's a link to add new recipients here: https://tax.thomsonreuters.com/en/checkpoint/news
