do i need a second EFIN

i am a small proprietor. i have my EFIN for years. There is a chance for me to partner with someone else at another location. Can i use my current EFIN there also? Thank you all for this great forum

Depends.
Are you forming a partnership with the other person? Entity/TIN change?
Are you efiling from more than one location or just changing locations?
Review pub 3112, pages 10 and 11 in particular.

no new entity or TIN. no forming new partnership. second location (why would the location matter for this. isnt efin given to the practice). i would be entering an agreement to help out with returns and file with my EFIN

EFIN is needed for each location. Just be careful with your liability insurance too. You are insured based on the firm name printed on the returns. Make sure you are insured under the firm shown there.
