Client has been receiving emails from the IRS that attempts were made to login his online account, possibly trying to steal his tax information. He wants to contact the IRS on this issue. A letter has been drafted. We want to fax this letter to the IRS. So does the IRS has an official fax number that we can fax the letter to?

Request the IRS to permanently block online access to his tax information until he request the privilege again.

You're probably going to get more efficient and effective results if you draft a POA, have the client sign, and call the practitioner priority line.
