What if you had tax returns to e-file today, a huge deadline?
Late filing Penalties.

UT and CCH had huge crashes (separate years) in the last couple of years and worked with IRS to avoid penalties for those folks affected.
Certainly a HUGE hassle though.

Hurricane Nicholas - my office still has no power, no internet, no nothing. Got one return sent via certified mail since the Post Office was able to open today, but the other clients were not available to come sign the returns anyway. Several returns are now delinquent. I have explained to each client... it is what it is. I keep checking for IRS relief....

Ultra moved some stuff to Texas a few years ago. Do you think GoSystem was part of the move, or just phone answering?

Proseries keeps pushing "Cloud" access. Which I dont get. Especially if their servers go down. With "Native" , meaning installed software, you can keep working and mail the returns in.
